Nelson Camacho has over 35 years of professional experience in many facets of the Aviation industry.  

After obtaining his FAA Airman-A&P Mechanic certifications at BOCES (Farmingdale, NY), he worked at JFK Airport with Pan Am and American Airlines in various locations and segments of their aircraft maintenance operations.

While working for the Airlines, he attended Queensborough Community College and Queens College (City University of New York), obtaining degrees in Music, English, and Political Science.  He later obtained his law degree from Fordham University School of Law and entered private practice in New York City, where his focus was on counseling and representing Aviation and industry-related clients through all stages of litigation and dispute resolution. 

Marsh USA brought Nelson into its Aviation Insurance broking practice as a Claims Advocate, where he worked as a trusted business advisor and advocate to clients and insurers.  In this capacity, he interacted with major law firms, the FAA and NTSB, and The Dep’t of Homeland Security.   Afterward, Nelson entered the insurance carrier arena as an Aviation Claims specialist and is proudly with Global Aerospace, Inc. as Vice President, Aviation Claims.

Throughout his professional path, Nelson has regularly taught courses in aviation law and insurance at Vaughn College of Aeronautics & Technology (E. Elmhurst, NY).

Nelson has various interests that include art, music, cinema, and history, and he has performed as a solo pianist in the Weill Recital Hall of Carnegie Hall.  He has also run five full Marathons and is a strong supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and similar causes.
